Hey everyone! January's almost over. Hallelujah. Gotta love February. The shortest month!
I would like to annouce our new contest here at 626secondstreet.blogspot.com. The name of it is Name the House. All the news Second Street houses will have names, so put on your thinkin' caps and come up with some goodies. You can enter as often as you want to. The grand-prize winner (selected by the Cassy family, of course) will win an original painting of the new 626. Ain't that exciting? So, send in the names, people. You can either make suggestions on the comments here on the blog or e-mail me at sally.lyon@gmail.com. When thinking of name, consider everything: the location, the color, the Cassady family, whatever you want. Most important, though, have fun! The creative bird always gets the worm.

Casa Cassady and Cassady's Castle sound a little hackneyed, but those are just first thoughts; give us a little time.

Well---don't you think there is enough of a change for a new blog update? Don is back in town, and we saw him at Lowes. His cart was filled with fans and lights. Did I mention that the power is now on? We have sort of determined that blue won't be in the house name--too limiting. We would never be able to paint except with blue. Could get old.
